ABOUT: | An oscillating dance accompaniment to the Dutch producer's latestMai Pen Rai is a track from Makam’s forthcoming album, Than Sadet, which means "Royal River" in Thai (Mai Pen Rai means "everything will be okay"). Directors Mr. Boonstra and Bas van de Poel wanted to created a river of dancing figures, and that's how choreographer Matthew Pawlicki-Sinclair from House of Makers and his dancers got involved. Matthew's choreography—in combination with light photography—creates a river of movement. The overall message of the music video, commissioned by the Dekmantel music festival, is, “Just flow along with the river and everything will be okay.” This was one of those productions where once we started up, the flow brought us so many presents and the collaborations where as smooth as a royal river. We were happy to collaborate, produce and bring together such talented professionals. More of this please! |
